How to pray the Chaplet

Jesus tells us to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy on the ordinary beads of the Rosary. Here Our Lord is giving us His Mother’s Rosary beads on which to pray this very simple prayer, and He tells us how very efficacious it is.

'First of all, you will say one OUR FATHER and HAIL MARY and the I BELIEVE IN GOD.  Then on the OUR FATHER beads you will say the following words: "Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world."  On the HAIL MARY beads you will say the following words: "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”  In conclusion, three times you will recite these words: "Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.' (Diary - Divine Mercy in My Soul, 476)
Why is the Chaplet so powerful?  The Chaplet is so powerful because we are offering the body and blood (humanity) of Christ and the soul and divinity of Jesus to the Father in atonement for our sins. This is what the priest does in reality every time he celebrates Mass. This brings to mind the message of Fatima. Before Our Blessed Mother appeared to the children, she sent an angel to them to teach them how to make reparation. This angel appeared to the children, holding the Sacred Host and the Chalice with the Precious Blood. He left it suspended in the air and bowed to the ground in adoration, praying a prayer very similar to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, offering the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus to the Father in atonement for our sins.   There is nothing more pleasing to the Father than the sacrifice of His Son.
